More Please! Fun Ways to Support Us

Oliver_Twist_02Red Earth has linked up with JustTextGiving to provide a quick and easy way for you to support our work.

We have set up a JustTextGiving account which means you can text with a special code plus the amount you’d like to give and JustTextGiving will transfer ALL the money you donate to Red Earth Theatre.

We’re adapting Charles Dickens’s much-loved novel, Oliver Twist, for tour in Spring 2016. But before we go on the road there’s a lot to do. We want to develop our access provision and make the play accessible in 3 ways:

  1. Sign Language Interpreted throughout
  2. Creative Captions for young Deaf readers
  3. Audio Description by young people for young people

We’re calling our campaign:

More Please

in honour of Oliver Twist the boy who famously asked for more and we’ve based our requests on well known characters from the novel.

Examples of what your donation will help us do:

A Sowerberry Sovereign – £1: will print a full colour, Deaf-friendly synopsis of the Oliver Twist story

A Fagin Fiver – £5: covers the hire of one audio description monitor per week (we need 10 x 8 weeks)

Bulls-Eye’s Bonus – £10: pays for half an hour of workshop time with an Audio Visual Designer to work with Deaf and hearing young people creating projections for the show

Oliver’s Offer – £20: one day’s travel and expenses for one of our young audio description trainees (10 trainees x 15 days)

It’s easy to give. Just text:

REDT15 + £ ? (THE AMOUNT YOU WANT TO GIVE)

TO: 70070

LET US KNOW IF THERE’S ANY OTHER WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE OR VOLUNTEER TO HELP US WITH OUR WORK.
